NASP Practice Model: Improving School Psychological Services & Understanding WV Shortages

  • This rate is for those that are not members of WVSPA that wish to participate in the training.

Registration is closed

Attendees will learn about the status of the school psychology shortages in WV, including information about perceived issues contributing to the shortage and strategies used to address the problem. An overview of the NASP 2020 Practice Model will be presented. The presentation will additionally provide a description of the NASP Excellence in School Psychological Services (ESPS) Recognition Program. Presenters will outline how the ESPS recognition program can be used as a needs assessment to improve psychological services and advocate for additional school psychologists.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn about the extent of the school psychology shortage in WV
  2. Learn about the new NASP Practice Model
  3. Learn how to use the NASP Excellence in School Psychological Services Recognition Program as a self-assessment tool

This webinar will be a joint effort between WVSPA and MUGC on November 10, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (3CPD).
